Event Structure add new event by VI scripting

I am creating a scripting VI which would semi automate the process of creating a user interface from a ppt slide. I was able to add frames to the event structure placed in the scripted VI's block diagram but I am not able to add events to corresponding frames. Please let me know how this can be done.

There is a recent discussion on NI's forum that might help.

 

This idea on the Idea Exchange says that configuring Event cases is implemented in LV2013.  Are you using 2009?

In LabVIEW 2013, you can check out the following shipping example to see some snippets of scripting code that modify the configured events in an Event Structure:

Unfortunately, this functionality is not available in LabVIEW prior to version 2013.
