Borderless Arrays

I have hear of the zero pixel cluster boarder but could not find something similar for an array.  My objective is to build a numeric table-like array.  So far the best I can do is:

Ok, answered my own question. It does work if I use a classic simple numeric instead of a system numeric and set the foreground color to transparent.

I quite like the system palette for creating a clean fuss-free GUI. Especially if you have more than one indicator, which will make you run out of space with the shiny silver things

The main problem with the System controls is that the color cannot be changed, nor parts made transparent (this can also be a benefit, depending on your point of view).  I quite like the frameless Silver controls which are clean and fairly customizable.
