Can this 1060 error be avoided?

Is there any way around causing this error:

Error 1060 occurred at Property Node (arg 1) in Shift Label Position Test.vi

LabVIEW: Object cannot contain(own) the specified object.

when trying to move a control label on the block diagram of a VI which is in edit mode?

This is the reason that I created my "work around" for adjusting the text. I don't quite understand why this is the case but without a doubt, you can not do what you are asking. I would love to hear the reason why it is that's for sure.

But you can trust me that I tried most every possible implementation of accomplishing what you are looking for and the best I could get is w/ my align BD label.vi
