diodo
I tried to generate a finite pulse train with my DAQCard-700 using the "Finite Pulse Train (8253).vi" example, but there's not response. The VI runs correctly but there isn't any pulse at OUT2 Counter pin (I made the right external link between the counters, and the signal at CLK2 and GATE2 pins are correctly, and I'm sure Counter 2 isn't broken). Can you help me? I use LabVIEW 5.1 version Thank you Quote Link to comment
AnalogKid2DigitalMan
Diodo: How are you verifying that the pulses are not there? Quote Link to comment
diodo
I try with a scope and even with the NITestPanel, a software included with the board. Quote Link to comment
AnalogKid2DigitalMan
Have you tested your 7404 inverter chip? I see the connection diagram on the front panel of the example does not show power being supplied to the 7404. So if you made all connections like it shows, you would still be missing two. Connect +5VDC to pin 14 (Vcc) on the 7404 and Ground to pin 7 (Gnd) on the 7404. You can get 5V and Gnd right off of the DAQ card. Hope this helps and if you already have 5V and Gnd going to the 7404 then I do not know what else could be awry :headbang: Quote Link to comment
diodo
In DAQCard-700 the timer chip is 8254 (not 8253) so the inverter chip is integrated (there's a OUT1* pin, that is the OUT1 pin inverted). Quote Link to comment
