baptie
Hi, Just registered this morning. Looks like I am in the right place. There are two off us using Labview, we both have the 30 day trials, I am on my 2nd 30day trial. We have been given the go ahead to purchase 2off licences and an application builder yesterday, wooohoooo. I have had a problem since day one with the installation. I had a search around the forum and came up short. Every boot up I get an error message with NI-PAL Service Manager Error: szAppName : nipalsm.exe szAppVer : 0.0.0.0 szModName : unknown szModVer : 0.0.0.0 offset : 00000000 C:\WINDOWS\PCHealth\ErrorRep\UserDumps\nipalsm.exe.20061207-085631-00.mdmp C:\DOCUME~1\scr\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER61f4.dir00\appcompat.txt Reinstalled NI-PAL, just incase I had been a plum.......no joy. Is it possibly the wrong platform NI-PAL I have downloaded??? Can anyone shed some light on this please, possibly a previous posting maybe. Thanks Quote Link to comment
crelf
Every boot up I get an error message with NI-PAL Service Manager Hi and welcome! What version of Windows are you using? PS: This is the wrong place for this thread - check out the forum rules (at the top of this page) for details. Quote Link to comment
Yair
Every boot up I get an error message with NI-PAL Service ManagerError: szAppName : nipalsm.exe szAppVer : 0.0.0.0 szModName : unknown szModVer : 0.0.0.0 offset : 00000000 C:\WINDOWS\PCHealth\ErrorRep\UserDumps\nipalsm.exe.20061207-085631-00.mdmp C:\DOCUME~1\scr\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER61f4.dir00\appcompat.txt This used to happen to me (I think it was after I installed an evaluation version of 8.0 on a PC with 6.1 and 7.0). Eventually it went away (because I unistalled 8?) and did not come back. I now have 8.2 eval installed and I don't have this problem, so it's also possible that I just got the right version.I remember seeing something about this in the NI LabVIEW forum, so I suggest you search for that thread over there and see if it has any useful suggestions. baptie
Wasn't to sure of where to post. Anyways, I am using XP. I thought that there would be a quick fix for this. When we get our autherisation codes I will give it a go, reboot, see whats what. If no joy I will reinstall the whole shabang. Thanks for help Quote Link to comment
