oddities with configuration of VI server

Dear LV specialist,

my LV application is divided into a remote and a local part.

I now want to set values within a global VI (which is part of my local application) from my remote application and simultaneously do some event registration on this global VI from my local application.

Therefore I need to flexibly adjust the VI server's port address.

Within the attached zip-archive you'll find a small project that explains my problems.

I'd appreciate a quick and helpful response how to primarily adjust the VI server's port address.
