jaegen
It appears that an XControl inside a cluster type def never fires the "Data Change" event. The attached VI uses the demo thermometer XControl inside the attached type def. When I run the VI as it is, nothing happens. If I right-click on the cluster and disconnect it from the type def, the temperature rises as expected. Is this a bug? Jaegen Quote Link to comment
Ton Plomp
QUOTE(jaegen @ Sep 15 2007, 02:00 AM) Is this a bug? Yes, a work around could be setting the 'Data' ability to include the Typedef. I even think this is a better way. Ton Quote Link to comment

Ton Except that I actually want to use multiple instances of an XControl inside a cluster typedef (along with other stuff) - the VI I attached was just a demo. Jaegen Quote Link to comment

Hi, Perhaps the bug is that LabVIEW allow you to place XControl in a cluster. Like it's says in the WIKI, XControls (like subpanels) cannot be placed in an array... Subpanels cannot be placed in cluster as well... But, I know how it's frustrating to cannot do it... ptit bras Quote Link to comment
