ben5248 Posted January 25, 2008 Report Posted January 25, 2008 All NI compactRIO modules come with the model number listed at the top of the front panel in blue. Some are labeled "NI cRIO-XXXX" while others are labelled "NI XXXX". Is there a difference in functionality? For example I have seen NI's IEPE module labeld both "NI cRIO-9233" and "NI 9233". Quote
Rolf Kalbermatter Posted January 29, 2008 Report Posted January 29, 2008 QUOTE(ben5248 @ Jan 24 2008, 07:53 AM) All NI compactRIO modules come with the model number listed at the top of the front panel in blue. Probably just a change in marketing. Those modules were introduced with cRIO but in the meantime are also usable with the new USBDAQ modules NI sells. So I guess they decided to drop the cRIO in the labeling to not confuse users. Rolf Kalbermatter Quote
crelf Posted January 29, 2008 Report Posted January 29, 2008 QUOTE(rolfk @ Jan 28 2008, 04:59 AM) Probably just a change in marketing. I'm pretty sure that Rolf is right, as some of the modules can be used as either cRIO or cDAQ modules, so converting the names to a less specific class makes sense. Quote
