NI DeviceNet Card

Hello experts!

I need a simple way (hard way, if it's the only way) to reset my DeviceNet card from NI.

I tried the CAN VIs, but that only works once in a while.

If I go to MAX and do a "self-test" on the card, it resets it and it's ready to take my commands.

I try to close all handles on exit, but it still won't restart unless I go to MAX and "self-test" again.

Anyone else ever have this trouble?

How did you fix it?

Well, it appears that there are not too many users of DeviceNet here, Jaegen.

I am having trouble writing to a Unico Motor Drive with a DeviceNet card which converts it to AnyBus. Not getting much help from Unico or NI.

If you know of someone who has done DeviceNet, send them over here please!

Sorry that nobody's responding to your question. I haven't used DeviceNet in years (it was for controlling mass flow controllers, valves, etc.) so I don't think I'd be any help anyways. I'm not sure if DeviceNet ever got very well established (which may be why your support questions are not getting much attention), but since I haven't been using it for a long time, I wouldn't be the best source to ask anyway.
