Design & Assembly Concepts located in North Austin, Texas designs and builds automated machinery. Our customers are manufacturers and new product developers. Our focus is to deliver automated equipment and fixtures to assemble and/or provide automated test solutions. We have an immediate opening for a LabVIEW software engineer looking for an exciting opportunity to be involved in the development of some of the latest technology products.

<H1 style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"> </H1><H1 style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt">Responsibilities:</H1><H1 style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt 0.25in">Software</H1>· Responsible for supporting the software development for all DAC projects

· Responsible for creating/supporting LabVIEW code using VISION/MOTION/DAQ

· Responsible for developing GUI and system operation for new DAC products

· Responsible for updating GUI and system operation of existing DAC products

· Responsible for developing code in VB/C++ and database management

· Support software development for misc. PLC controller platforms

· Support the selection of new technologies to improve DAC products

· Support controls design and electrical engineering

· Create software standards to aid future software development

· Assist in the organization, revision control and deployment of all software

· Provide accurate estimates of software development used for project management

· Cross-train other DAC personnel

· Provide support to Sales by quoting on automation related projects

· Customer visits and support

· Interface with DAC customers

<H1 style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt 0.25in"> </H1><H1 style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt 0.25in">Sales and Marketing</H1>· Grow existing automation customer sales

· Support the development marketing material for generation and DAC products

· Develop new markets for our automation projects

· Attend trade shows

<H1 style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt">Qualifications:</H1>· One year minimum experience with National Instruments LabVIEW

· Experience with vision and with National Instruments Vision Builder desirable

· Experience developing LabVIEW drivers for serial, GPIB, Device Net and Ethernet instruments desirable

· Knowledge of Visual basic, C++, XML schema and SQL database desirable

· Experience using revision control software a plus

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Associates degree minimum required

· National Instruments LabVIEW certification desirable

The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented with great quantitative analysis skills, self-motivated, able to pro-actively communicate with all employees, and work well in a fast-paced environment. No relocation available.
