Read Data from the Inidcators

What are the different ways one can get the indicator data of a subVI whose pront panel is not opened. Is there any workaround or other method to identify the value signalling of a particular indicator or control whose front panel is not opened.

i am thinking that you are referring to a SubVI on the block diagram. You would be required to wire the indicator to the SubVI's connector pane for the indicator data to be available outside the subvi after execution. You can refer to LabVIEW Help for more details. If you can be a little more elaborate I can help you better.

It is rarely a good idea to rely on controls and indicators for data passing, unless you're using them through the connector pane. If you want to trasnfer data between VIs, there are any number of methods, from global variables to LV2 style globals to queues and notifiers.
