Using post data in web service

I have a web service running that I had some help with recently from the guys on here. It works fine, however after getting further in to the process I have a need to transfer some parameters in an XML type string. I understand from the help files that this should be done using POST protocol in the REST service but there is very little information to help understand how this is done. I have read some other non labview instruction and still cant understand how it is done.
