I am trying to do hand gesture recognition for any background ( not by using a single color plane behind the hand ). I am acquiring the image by using the integrated webcam that is present in my laptop. once the gestures are identified , i need to take some decisions to control someother instrument. I am trying this by using image processing techniques like edge detection, template matching etc. I am not able to find expected results..Is there any precautions to be handled to get this correct ?

the output data that comes from a single wire from the instrument without the ground signal from the instrument , ie , the open collector output data. which is the cheapest and the best NI hardware to acquire open collector output data ?

hello frndz, I am doing my final year project in image processing. all that my professors give me is an image of tumor, i need to find the intensity of the tumor by watever operations that can be done in LabVIEW. I have the vision development module in my university and i have thought of proceding this project with the filters and the ROI extraction, can anyone help me by giving ideas of how to do this project and any start up codes? and also i have to show the morphological image processing algorithms like erosion, dilation,thickening,thining, skeleton,pruning etc in LabVIEW as a part of ma project in image processing. can anyone help me by giving ideas of how to do this project and any start up codes? thanks in advance
