  5. wow!!! God blessed me.

  6. Thanks you ShaunR and InsaneObject! Your suggestions do help. When I check in MAX, I found the NI-DAQ is not installed . (I haven't specifically informing our PC administrator to include this when he install LabVIEW for me. It's my own fault....)
  7. Hi fellows, Need your helps! I always use "VISA resource name" control to define the I/O port and it always work.(LabVIEW 2009) Today suddenly I found that the "VISA resource name" control pulldown list shows nothing but "Refresh" ... ... , nothing is detected. (I have a printer which is always connected so at least LPT1 should show up.) Is it because certain relevant LabVIEW system application service is stopped? What could the problem be? Many thanks. Best regards, Mars

  11. Dear Lava fellows, I found that LabVIEW offers a poor documentation about these two vi: Fire Software-Triggered Timing Source VIand create Software-Triggered Timing Source V. Anyone has experience on using them? It will be great if you can post you vi as examples. Many thanks. Regards, Mars Su
  12. The result will depend on what algorithm you chose for interpolation, e.g. linear interpolation, polynormial interpolation ... Wether the interpolated poionts will located on or inside the original surface, it's up to wheter the mathematic model of your surface happen to be close to the model you used for interpolation. And I think your question is a pure mathematic problem, not related to LabVIEW at all. (Just Personal idea!)
  13. Yes, that's it. Thanks. How could I ignored "close file" Thanks. "Check if File or Folder Exists" does avoide the VI to open unexist file, but it couldn't deal with empty path. So I combied both "Check if File or Folder Exists" and "Empty string or path".
  14. Hello everyone, Please take a look at the enclosed image. How could I get the file path value in case "True"? (Case "True" description: there is no path input to "Read from Text file", a dialog box will pop up for selecting file. I want to get the path value and pass it back to the file path control on front panel. ) Thanks in advance

  17. Thanks crelf. First of all, thanks for your hint about how to make a post in a more understandable and clear way. Secondly, I agree with you about the opinion that LabVIEW can do everything and it does what we ask it to but not what we want it to. What I want to express here is that it will be great if LabVIEW provide functions that do as what I we want it to. (like what hooovahh did). It's not the matter of it is able to or not, it's the matter of how convenient it is. Every one expect that LV provide some epress build-in VIs so that users dont need to program it by our own even we know how to do it. And this is why that Lava, Open G .etc. are so popular.
  18. There are all kinds of fish in the sea.

  19. Thanks your VI works perfectly. I know that it can be done in this way. I just want to say LabVIEW should provide some kind of functions like yours to make the data import more intelligent like matlab did. Well they should maybe just adopt your VI.
