In a few years you will have enough to make a Quilt or better yet a Cape
Now *that's* impressive!

Thank you, all of you at NI Week. My wife had more fun than anyone else. Anyone.
At the conference party her desire to get people talking and meeting each other made it like speed-networking for all of us. By that time she had so many badge ribbons donated to her that she got a lot of attention, and she had a lot of fun.
She is still talking about last week. I believe I will take her again next year. She reminded me what all the excitement is about, and renewed my wonder at what all of you do.
It was my most fun year, too.
I like her - that girl's got moxy.
Although I'm wishing I hadn't have donated all of those ribbons to here - Otherwise I would have reached the floor by now. Oh well, I guess I'll have to come back next year.

Oh man that is cool. I didn't get anything last year so I should get a myRIO this year right?....right?
No. Organizers of the BBQ are exempt from the prize pool.
Note: I am not helping organize the BBQ this year, so I guess should be mine, right?....right?

Well my legacy is being Crelf's alter ego for irking people. I'm not even my own person...or am I?
Yes, I am.
......and you stopped showing the top 10 like count on the main page the day after I got to #2Report to Moderator.

That's well and good until you realize that someone like me was on the first page for a long time. I managed one RCF plugin that got a bit of attention for a while, and most of the rest of my posts were "liked" because I was being silly. That's my legacy
I see absolutely nothing wrong with what you said - in fact, that's kind-of the point.

Just logged on again for the first time in several years and the post leader board looks pretty much like it did when I was last active. Is LAVA still growing?
We stopped looking at the post counts and started looking at the "likes" a few years ago - a much better outlook IMO.
I still prefer lava to the dark side by a huge margin-- way higher signal to noise in my opinion.Quality, not quantity has been LAVA's credo since our launch.
I think it will take several years for anyone to overtake Crelf on the post leader board, even if they post multiple times every day

My current employer even made it a goal of mine last year to be more active on LAVA. Bonuses and pay raises are based on how well you work toward your goals so you could say I have added incentive.Paid for posting? Barring a conflict-of-interest, that's super I hope you present your "Likes", and not just your post count

My opinions on many LAVA members has been irrevocably changed.
In a good way, right?

Well that was a whole lotta fun! I hope everyone enjoyed that as much as I did

I suggest buying a Mac mini... That would be adequate for what you're doing.
You can get an older pre-owned Mac mini pretty cheap. It's going to be slow and won't have the latest OS, but it might be good enough for what you're doing?
PS: Don't forget to collect underpants.

It's already on the Idea Exchange - in fact, these two points are exactly what my idea suggested a couple of years ago.
Great minds...

So, the Front Panel, do we really always need it?
No. The issue is that the connector pane's terminals have to be connected to controls/indicators on the front panel, so if you want to get data in/out through the connector pane, you need a front panel. If the connector pane and front panel could be decoupled, then most VIs wouldn't even need a front panel. But they aren't, so we're stuck with them. Maybe post on the LabVIEW Idea Exchange.
Do we need many flavors of them in a single VI?Yes! I think VIs should have n front panels (where n could be 0). Think of a lot of websites: they have different "views" based on the client that's connected to them (desktop, mobile, etc). I think being able to define something similar in a VI could be helpful. Imagine a VI running on an RT system - you could have different front panels for different user security levels, client types, and more.

Maybe you're not the "target" for this show...
Oh, I'm certainly not the target - my undergraduate was in physics,

"The Big Bang Theory" is the worst show currently on television. No wait, that's "Glee". Ok, "The Big Bang Theory" is the *second* worst show currently on television.

FWIW: I now really understand the benefit of automated diagram cleanup - it works wonderfully on the hundred or so VIs that I just created using scripting. Thank you NI!

You're right, this has been done before, but your version is the best and most feature-rich example I've seen. Nice work!
