In my case it's a security issue (exe can be executed by the file dialog), but after some test even when you remove the *.* from the file pattern, you can type it by your self and got all the file listed The only way is to create my own File Dialog Thank you for your help Have a nice labor day Dany

I tried the LV file-Dialog with Native File Dialog to false in the INI file but it look not very standard. I want to create an application that look professional and integrated in windows. For the dotNet option, I dont want to install the dotNET framework on the 35 PCs that have already the application. The only choice is to create a clone of the NativeWindows File Dialog coded in LabVIEW ... A lot of work :headbang: and a very short time.

Yes it's about 8.2. When I put *.txt in the Pattern terminal the *.txt is added but *.* is still there as other pattern. Dany

Thanks PJM I try the "wizard" folder and the VI apper in the File menu of VI's but not in the File menu of the "Project explorer" I tried the scripting property (App.MenuLaunchVi) and it work in LabVIEW 8 for the File and Help menu :thumbup: If you have other tips for cutomizing my environment let me know. And some menu item to the shortcut menu over My Computer or *.lvlib in the Project Explorer? What is your favorites to customize your environment? Thanks Dany

When you select multiple objects on the FP or on the BD allow using context menu for all objects. If I need to display the Caption and hide the label for several objects, it take minutes to get the job done. The context menu should display the common task that can be done for the selected objects, as display caption and label, create property node, etc
