TEST ENGINEERING SUPERVISOR
The Test Engineering Supervisor will be part of the Astronautics Leadership Team and report to the Manager of Systems Engineering. The Test Engineering Department addresses test equipment needs throughout all phases of the product life cycle. This includes the design, fabrication, component integration (hardware and software), integration with unit under test, and introduction into the manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities include the following:
Leading a group of hardware and software engineers who are responsible for developing automated and manual test equipment used within the design verification and manufacturing environments
Applying systems engineering processes, methodologies, and tools to the design of test equipment systems
Developing test equipment architecture (systems, software, hardware)
Preparing and reviewing test equipment documentation, including requirements, schematics, bills of material, and wiring diagrams
Providing oversight for test equipment design lifecycle events and items such as requirements management, design standards, design reviews, and component obsolescence,
Providing manufacturing, through the Test Equipment Department team, with technical support to achieve company goals related to cost, quality, and delivery schedule
Managing project-level schedule, cost, and risk aspects associated with test equipment development and deployment
Qualifications:
BS or MS degree in Engineering or Computer Science required (Electrical Engineering or Computer Science preferred)
3+ years leadership experience in a Test Engineering environment required
Proficiency in the use of MS Word and Excel required
Must have industry working knowledge of National Instruments LabView object oriented programming
Must have excellent communication, analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills
Experience using requirements management and version control systems (e.g.: DOORS) preferred
Experience with Avionics, Aerospace, or Military design and manufacturing environments a plus
