I am having lockups on cRio9042 running Linux RT, too. They are equipped with a monitor. I also suspected the set time.vi, but even if I don't use it, I have this issue. The cRio is connected by ethernet to a module called IBH Link UA which is used to transfer OPC Data from a Siemens PLC to the cRio. Basically all this works and we have about 8 systems running, but from time to time (days, weeks, ...) the cRios freeze.
The funny thing is, that the same setup with the identic project is running well on cDaqs 9136 and 9136. Only the cRios freeze. So I don't think that there is conceptional failure in my labview project.
If the cRios are not connected to the IBH Link UA but only to a Windows network, then there are no such problems. After having sorted out many possible root causes, I found your post and your solution by increasinf the TCP buffer memory. I visited the page that you mentioned, but there are many parameters that can be modified. Can you advise me, which modification you have made?
BTW I am not using FPGA as the project was developped on cDaq 9132 and the cDaqs don't feature FPGA.
