I think you can do that already!. I create regularly (strict typedefed) custom controls and insert them into the diagram to create constants which track possible changes to the data type. You can include such custom controls both into the Controls as well the Functions palette to be inserted on the front panel and also on the diagram. There is already one function to at least see hidden controls. Just use Edit->Set Tabbing Order. You can't interact in that mode with the hidden control but at least see that it exists. Rolf Kalbermatter
