Jon Kokott
If I build a packed library with a class which is a descendant of another class, it is breaking the relationship of the child to the parent. Do packed libraries only support hierarchies that are fully enclosed in the packed library? Quote Link to comment
Norm Kirchner
I can't answer your question specifically, but there is a great deal of knowledge on classes, inheritance and packed libraries contained here. I would give a 68% chance you'll find your answer in there Plug-in design using LVLIBP https://decibel.ni.com/content/docs/DOC-19176 Good Luck ~Norm 1 Quote Link to comment
Jon Kokott
This is exactly what I'm trying to do, thank you. What a hack job that is, I never would have thought to delete the Parent library in the child build. Thanks again, I'll try it this weekend sometime. Quote Link to comment
0_o
I tried it too and unless we both didn't follow the instructions correctly then I guess it's not our fault. I even opened a call to NI support thinking it should have worked according to the PDF in 2010 and for some reason it stopped working in 2011. Yet, I just saw that it got updated two month ago to 2011 with a change that deals specifically with dependencies so I'll go over it one more time and report. Quote Link to comment
