Fair enough. It's easy to forget that much of the literature about low level computer behavior is based on unspoken assumptions about what development environments and programming paradigms are used. I certainly don't understand the details of OS memory management, compiler technology, or under-the-hood Labview implementations well enough to speak with any kind of authority and I appreciate the explanation.
