cmaster
hello help needed installing PCI-DAS1002 card with labview7.1 Windows sees card, but labview does not seem to see it. I know the PCI-DAS6000 series cards are meant to be equivalent to the NI cards, which labview sees. Can anybody Please help? Cheslin Ellis Quote Link to comment
AnalogKid2DigitalMan
Did you purchase their Universal Library that provides drivers for LabView? See: http://www.measurementcomputing.com/cbicat...M19DA6EQRMF7X28 I do not know if their drivers allows MAX to see and configure the card, also do not know if it allows DAQMX functions support. My personal policy is: Use National's software, then use their hardware. Saving a couple hundred $ by buying a non NI card can cost you a heck of a lot more in lost time and lack of dedicated support (and finger pointing!). Quote Link to comment

This is quite obvious. Will DAS develop a LabVIEW LLB to provide support for their boards in LV? Dunno! Using NI HW with LV is straightforward, other vendors' HW may be not worth the effort. :ninja: Quote Link to comment

The university bought 10 of these cards and the local Measurement Computing technical support has apparently not been much help. thanks anyway Cheslin Quote Link to comment
AnalogKid2DigitalMan
cmaster: I do not think all is lost, did you look into the universal library in the link I posted above? DAQ functions and LV should work with the library, it is only $50. But I do not think it is MAX nor DAQMX compatible. Quote Link to comment
todd
In the past, Measurement Computing support consistently went out of their way to explain to me the workarounds for getting their hardware working in LabVIEW. Quote Link to comment
AnalogKid2DigitalMan
On a somewhat related note of using MCC HW with NI LV: http://forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?boar...uireLogin=False Quote Link to comment
AnalogKid2DigitalMan
And another related (not so good) thread I came across. Was not looking for MCC, but it came up in my daily browse of NI discussion forums. http://forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?boar...ssage.id=107861 Quote Link to comment
