Controlling DC Motor

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys,

I want to do a controller for a remote crane for my final project on University, and a try to do the controller by Labview.

But I can't to create a VI for this project, because a try to controller 3 DC motors

Can you know some VI to do this controller ??

Do you have any hardware to control the DC motors with? Such as a National Instruments card? Or are these motors RS-232 driven?

How do you control / drive the motor? From a HW perspective? Do you use a microcontroller, FPGA, etc.. WHat's between the power source and the motor itself?

Excellent example!

Yes, PWM is often the choice for controlling dc-motors.

I forgot to ask if he was using a DAQ to control it.

:D

Thanks a lot

and I forgot to mention, that you need a DAQ-board with fast DIOs to use this example. A M-series with about 1MS/s will do!
