LAVA 1.0 Content Posted May 30, 2006 Report Posted May 30, 2006 Does the Advanced PID block in the PID Control Toolkit (v8.0) come with external reset as promised? I can't find any way to make it work. I get problem with reset wind-up using two PID Controllers in cascading loop. Quote

I get problem with reset wind-up using two PID Controllers in cascading loop. I'm not sure if this will help, but according to the PID User Manual, the anti-windup is already built in to the PID vi's. Neville. Quote
VDB Posted May 31, 2006 Report Posted May 31, 2006 Looking at the "PID Integral Action" VI, the output is limited to "output high" / "output low" using the "In range an coerce" function. So it's more like an 'anti windup hold' instead of a dynamic anti reset windup. VDB Quote
