Mike Ashe
Very nice, I've wanted something like this for a long time. One thought, in many auto complete implementations I've seen the text is accepted when you either click outside of the control or if you hit <ENTER> while the suggestion is in progress. I te4sted your control with Tools >> Options >> Front Panel >> End Text with Enter turned on and it worked fine. Might want to give a note in your top level test VI that this is an option. Thanks again, this is great! I'm now thinking of some modifications to check for certain formats in the entered string, like auto phone numbering or auto date or SSN, etc. Quote Link to comment
Jeffrey Habets
Just a quick note before anyone starts putting this into an XControl. It has already been done: http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/epd/p/id/2959 Quote Link to comment

There is always room for a better, or different implementation. In fact, just because you said not to do it, makes me want to do it even more. Quote Link to comment
Jeffrey Habets
Hehe, my tactic seems to work.. Ofcourse, always looking for better solutions... But when in need for such a thing and no time to develop a better one, you now all know where to find it.. Quote Link to comment
