LabVIEW and Google Earth

I don't know if there's already cross posted this on LAVA, but I thought I'd mention a cool posting on NI Forums that shows how to control Google Earth from LabVIEW. I also added to the llb with a Load KML file that loads an XML file with data that Google Earth can translate into markers.

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone out there has looked into incorporating google earth into a LV app? I would like to have an app that can re-play a google earth "trip" based on a GPS track, perhaps with some zooming etc.

Anyone investigated such a concept? I assume it would involve some .NET or ActiveX work, maybe even some DLL calls.

Any advice would be welcome.

I used it to get the topo maps of the Monongahala RR I am modeling.

I did it the other way around, convert a GPS string into a kml/kmz file.
