single process shared variables

I am trying to bind single process shared varibales to a front panel object, can anyone tell me if this is possible and if so how? When i look in the data binding section of the properties i can only see network published variables.

Hi,

I don't know if you've already found the answer but the shared variable does need to be network published in order to be bound to a front panel object. Check out this line from the LabVIEW Help on the Numeric Properties Dialog Box:

"Shared Variable Engine (NI-PSP)—Windows Binds the object to a network-published project item or to a PSP data item on the network using the Shared Variable Engine."

You can also use Datasocket to do essentially the same thing.
