BobHamburger
It makes me want to stand up and salute something. Anything in uniform. A Good Humor man, an usher, or a nun. (Let's see if anybody can attribute that reference.) Quote Link to comment

Your avatar inspired mine, Chris. 35 years since I first saw the movie, and the whole concept of a Yiddish-speaking indian chief still cracks me up. Quote Link to comment

Me too - I love that scene. I still laugh so much I snort when Taggert is searching for Heddy's froggy, or when the posse have to go back to get a "shitload of dimes" to get through the toolbooth. It's a wonderful wonderful movie that gets air-time at my family home every Christmas afternoon (imagine: 115 degrees outside, you're overflowing with the feast that was lunch, you're overtired from opening presents at 6am with the kids - and then an afternoon respite with Mel Brooks ) QUOTE (BobHamburger @ Sep 29 2008, 12:21 AM) Your avatar inspired mine, Chris. Now you've inspired me to change mine too Quote Link to comment
ASTDan
Wouldn't it be great if each canidate picked a muppet to represent them. Maybe more people would vote. Quote Link to comment

You know, just when I thought that I understood all of the gags, I randomly Googled "Le Petomane". Imagine my delight when I read http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Le_P%C3%A9tomane' rel='nofollow' target="_blank">this Wikipedia article. Quote Link to comment

I *know*! I looked that one up a few years ago and, of course, wasn't surprised I get a little bit more out of that movie everytime I watch it. I love the random bodies flung into the air when the fake Rockridge is ignighted by Jim's steady hand and keen eye... ...and don't get me started on the studio backlot sequence... "Not in the face!"
