adding timer control to my program

hi all,

attach image is a temperature program. i plan to add in a timing control features which user can selected the time interval to record the reading data in the lvm file. i.e one second one record, 5 second 1 record etc... how to do that? help...plz...

Will this do, of have I missed something? The user can select the time interval and this will control the loop rate.
