NIPM just uses the opkg format, like their linux distribution. The limitation there is that its geared towards system installs, which is why you have to point it at the specific labview version (eg in NIPM they might have NI Scope support for labview 2015, NI scope support for labview 2016, etc..). GPM is as you said geared towards a more sane project-oriented development workflow vs a global code repo.1 point
