Strict references can be created by "ctrl-dragging" a control of the type you want into the control ref control. After you drop the copy into the control ref control (seems redundant?) it will show you the star indicating its a strict. Another way is to find the control that will be your prototype and doing a "create ref" from it. Does anyone know of another way? Curious, Ben

In one of our applications we are synchronizing two NI 6254 M Series PXI DAQ Cards using DAQ mx Timing Property.In this,we have selected Synch.clk.source property and we gave input as (ai/sample clock)terminal of DAQ Card.When i run the RT Code,it is getting synchronized and my AI and DI aquisitions are happening fine.But when i build exe and deploy to PXI RT,its not getting the timing source input,and our two AI and DI aquisition loops are not running as we have used timed loops for both aquisitions,can anyone suggest any reply regards, Naresh

Blue properties are 'Private' Red properties are 'Depricated' from old LabVIEW versions and should be replaced by more accurate code I advise you to look at the 'Boolean XControl' That does what you want, one warning, first close your VIs using this XControl, than the project file, somehow there is a bug in LabVIEW. Could you be a bit more specific? LabVIEW can interact in many ways with the outside world, what board are you connecting to? I'm not familier with MAX232, only with Max (NI's Measurement and Automation Explorer) and RS232 (a serial interface standard). In Max you can list RS232 interfaces and communicate with connected instruments, this would be a good starting point. to test the instrument/board. Ton
