  1. When I get all of my post through my RSS feed, they are sorted by topic (which is great), but the forum category that they were posted in in nowhere to be seen. I thin kthat the category is important as it adds context to the thread, so is it possible for the RSS feed to concatenate the category and thread name together into the post subject?
  2. QUOTE(Norm Kirchner @ Jan 31 2008, 12:26 PM) Damn it! Sometimes the simpliest answer is the best
  3. QUOTE(silmaril @ Jan 31 2008, 11:56 AM) This is an arguement that we've had before, so let me cut to the chase: There are few reasons to use any stacked sequences in a well-designed LV application. Like all rules, there are exceptions. There are cases where you need to force dataflow where it doesn't currently exist, and encapsulating code in a subVI or a flat sequence structure can be equally appropriate. Like all programming paradigms, it's all about using the right tool for the job.
  4. QUOTE(Aristos Queue @ Jan 31 2008, 01:46 AM) Looking forward to it!
  5. QUOTE(BobHamburger @ Jan 30 2008, 10:21 PM) Sounds like a few contracts that I've been involved in...
  6. QUOTE(R.Alves @ Jan 31 2008, 08:12 AM) This technique won't do that, unless your videos are saved on the IP camera - it's just a method of accessing files on a remote device (if your IP camera buffers static images, it might work...)
  7. QUOTE(Michael_Aivaliotis @ Jan 30 2008, 04:58 PM) Engineer A: She made $23,460.30 in one night! Engineer B: Who paid only 30 cents? Engineer A: Everyone! Thank you, thank you - I'll be here all week!
  8. QUOTE(rolfk @ Jan 30 2008, 02:13 PM) You could also try http://forums.lavag.org/Downloading-an-image-from-a-Web-server-using-Datascoket-t100.html' target="_blank">this.
  9. QUOTE(Omar Mussa @ Jan 30 2008, 01:33 PM) You can upload the whole damn project to NI and then give them a few simple steps on reproducing (what you uplaod doesn't need to be simple), but that all depends on whether you're comfortable with giving NI your code...
  10. QUOTE(Omar Mussa @ Jan 30 2008, 12:55 PM) It might not be a "bug", but it's certainly an "issue" - I'd still submit it anyway: that way NI can know that it's an issue that stopping you from doing your work and, worse still, stopping you from using their product.
  11. QUOTE(Michael_Aivaliotis @ Jan 30 2008, 02:04 AM) Nope - no problem here. That said, I spent a loooong time in my youth working on limb independance to overcome that very issue (I was a percussionist).
  12. QUOTE(Aristos Queue @ Jan 29 2008, 12:33 PM) That's the important point right there (emphasis added for emphasis) - and something I didn't know. Is this true, even when the event structures are on different targets?
  13. QUOTE(Justin Goeres @ Jan 29 2008, 01:01 PM) My work here is done. PS: It's almost strawberry season
  14. QUOTE(David_A_Moore @ Nov 30 2007, 05:01 PM) PS: I know I'm chiming in late here, but thanks for going with BSD!

  16. QUOTE(Neville D @ Jan 17 2008, 06:24 PM) Sorry to have missed you - yep: see you at the LAVA BBQ at NI-Week 2008
  17. QUOTE(David Boyd @ Jan 29 2008, 11:07 AM) I never know if to close parentheses when using smileys at the end of a bracketed fragment (just like this
  18. QUOTE(brian175 @ Jan 17 2008, 10:31 PM) That sounds just like http://www.endevo.se/index.php/en/Products_General/' target="_blank">Endevo's GDS...
  19. QUOTE(jfazekas @ Jan 28 2008, 02:21 PM) ...but, http://forums.lavag.org/Event-Structure-as-State-Machine-t9502.html&st=15&p=38468#entry38468' target="_blank">as has been pointed out, the user events aren't.

  20. QUOTE(rolfk @ Jan 28 2008, 04:59 AM) I'm pretty sure that Rolf is right, as some of the modules can be used as either cRIO or cDAQ modules, so converting the names to a less specific class makes sense.
  21. QUOTE(Justin Goeres @ Jan 28 2008, 08:39 AM) Suuuuuuuuure...
  22. QUOTE(Aristos Queue @ Jan 27 2008, 08:49 PM) Just to get back on topic a little: the technique Jonathan's talking about doesn't need to have two event structures on one diagram - they can be separated into different VIs. That means you can have a single to single, single to many, many to single or many to many paradigm.
  23. QUOTE(yiweihua2002 @ Jan 22 2008, 08:20 PM) Just by looking at the right scroll bar on your front panel, I'm assuming that's one huge cluster - can you please post your code (the actual VI, not just the screen shot) for us to have a look at?
