  1. QUOTE(Jim Kring @ Jan 3 2008, 10:30 AM) My engineers are much cheaper than that
  2. QUOTE(Jim Kring @ Jan 3 2008, 09:53 AM) I'll sell just about anything if the price is right...
  3. QUOTE(Michael_Aivaliotis @ Jan 3 2008, 08:49 AM) Fair enough, but we've just done a lab audit in our Michigan office and want to off-load a bunch of NI gear (better to be used than chucked), so expect that forum to be chocked-full of eBay announcements in the coming couple of weeks
  4. QUOTE(Justin Goeres @ Jan 3 2008, 06:33 AM) Yeah, I run it on my uber-modern Atari 2600 (yes, it's an original and I've got about 20 cartridges that still run great!)
  5. Here's another: QUOTE(Justin Goeres @ Jan 3 2008, 12:35 AM) Get this on your phone
  6. Congrats Tomi, and thanks so much for all your wpmderful posts so far. ;beer; here's to another 1k!
  7. There are a few of us who sell products professionally, and others still that occasionally sell an old DAQ card or two - I'd like to see a new sub-forum of LAVA called something like "Marketplace". Possible sub-sub-forums could be "Hardware", "Software", and "Services". I'm not asking for anything like eBay system, just a new sub-forum where we can post, and maybe link to an eBay item, for example. It would also be great if the posts had a timeout, so they don't clog the forum for years to come... Here's some suggeted icons (all lifted from the NI Icon Library ):
  8. QUOTE(hooovahh @ Dec 25 2007, 12:54 AM) Not so much flawed, but perhaps the context is getting a little out-of-date. For example, "fittest" may not necissarily mean physically any more. Also, one could begin to look outside the individual - the survival of the fittest person, race, socio-econmoic sector, religion, etc. Keeping with alfa's wandering themes, I'm just thinking outside the thread
  9. ...I warned you!
  10. QUOTE(Norm Kirchner @ Dec 15 2007, 05:50 AM) Pity you live so far away - the cheapest postage option bumped it over $25
  11. QUOTE(Justin Goeres @ Dec 15 2007, 05:38 AM) It must be MakeInRangeCoerceWork=FALSE
  12. QUOTE(Cool-LV @ Dec 14 2007, 11:29 AM) Post reported to Moderator - I don't know where you got this, but I don't think that LAVA is an appropriate place to put a link to it.
  13. QUOTE(Yen @ Dec 14 2007, 07:15 AM) Sounds like the beginnings of a great wiki article!
  14. QUOTE(ahull @ Dec 14 2007, 05:10 AM) I am.
  15. QUOTE(george seifert @ Dec 14 2007, 12:31 AM) Do you get the same result if you load the VIs directly from disk, outside of the project? Can you post an example?
  16. QUOTE(rolfk @ Dec 12 2007, 06:51 PM) Yes, but in a very roundabout way - I pack very light when I travel, so she's taken the "opportunity" to fill my remaining luggage allowance (including that which I can carry) so there's no room for the laptop. That said, I'll have plenty to keep me busy on my vacation - friends, family, beer, lamb roasts, real beef sausages, cricket...
  17. QUOTE(Ascen @ Dec 12 2007, 09:14 PM) 15 tab controls, or a tab control with 15 pages?QUOTE(tcplomp @ Dec 12 2007, 09:27 PM) Use one event structure for every tab-page might be the option, and use a messaging technique to start and stop actions. I'd use one event structure - why do you need one for each page? I'm not a fan of multiple event structures - sure, it's a powerful technique, but it's easy to end up with issues that are difficult to track.
  18. QUOTE(tcplomp @ Dec 12 2007, 05:16 PM) The NI http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/5059' target="_blank">LabVIEW Champions also got an email from the Champions co-ordinator.
  19. QUOTE(neB @ Dec 13 2007, 12:14 AM) One of the misconceptions of the term "quantum" happens when systems are described as such. It's just a description of that system at that level. It all depends on how far down the rabbit hole you want to go.
  20. QUOTE(Cool-LV @ Dec 12 2007, 01:57 PM) Do you mean the OS installation's GUID? What OS are you using?
  21. QUOTE(Val Brown @ Dec 12 2007, 01:23 PM) Some of the components were updated, LabVIEW was not one of them.
  22. QUOTE(TobyD @ Dec 12 2007, 08:40 AM) log(Cabin) + c (= a log cabin by the sea )
  23. QUOTE(TobyD @ Dec 12 2007, 07:21 AM) You wanna waste time? http://www.teagames.com/' target="_blank">Check this out!
