  1. QUOTE (Michael Aivaliotis @ Mar 11 2009, 06:41 PM) Me too! I saw it on TV, and my mother was a little concerned that I would be upset by it (I was a wee one back then) - instead I proclaimed it the funniest thing I'd ever seen (hey - I was 5!) I have no idea why it popped into my head yesterday. QUOTE (Maca @ Mar 12 2009, 09:43 AM) Do you actually do any "work" while at work? You always seem too come up with all sorts of ... stuff, where do you get it all from? I forward on most of your finds and my boss ups me because "I must just sit around surfing the net because of all the shit I forward on" I am omnipotent. QUOTE (TobyD @ Mar 12 2009, 10:06 AM) Is that a typo or an Aussie term I'm not familiar with? "getting up someone" is refers to getting up in someone's face (angry), or more commonly http://forum.wordreference.com/showpost.php?p=2526109&postcount=2' rel='nofollow' target="_blank">getting the wind up them (scaring them). Although, I'm sure it could mean many different things - I'm not sure how close Maca is with his boss
  2. Screenshots are good for us to get an idea of what's in the code, but I like it when members actually upload the code so I can play around with it, see what's really happening, test changes, make suggestions more easily, etc. It would be great if there was a board plug-in that could show a web-preview of the diagram of uploaded VIs...
  3. QUOTE (Mark Yedinak @ Mar 11 2009, 08:56 PM) Can you upload what you've tried (including an example PCX file)?
  4. QUOTE (bmoyer @ Mar 11 2009, 03:34 PM) If you want to go down that route (it should be pretty straightforward to implement), this might help:
  5. QUOTE (Antoine Châlons @ Mar 11 2009, 03:27 AM) Very nice! I liked the DVD rip example in particular
  6. QUOTE (neBulus @ Mar 10 2009, 05:45 AM) Have you reported it to NI? If so, do you have a CAR#?
  7. QUOTE (bsvingen @ Mar 6 2009, 02:20 AM) ...but it does - it forces execution order. QUOTE (bsvingen @ Mar 6 2009, 02:20 AM) I would rather have a less intrusive sequence structure border. I don't think anyone's suggesting that current methods (like a sequence structure border) go away. Personally, I like to link up error clusters for the error handling and because it gives me a convienient method forcing of flow. I like the idea of a null wire because it allows me to force flow. Sure, there are other ways to do it, but that doesn't mean that this idea is wrong. In fact, I'd hope that the implementation of the null wire would act just like putting seqeunce structures areound stuff - maybe that's what could actually happen in th back ground. A first step could be a null wire that only worked between seqeuence structures - then we could have the flow without the data (although, we'd need to be able to define the source end of the wire).
  8. QUOTE (neBulus @ Mar 9 2009, 02:42 PM) ...of memory released - your end amount is less than your start amount. Or is that the amount of free memory?
  9. QUOTE (Val Brown @ Mar 7 2009, 03:00 PM) I'll drink to that!
  10. QUOTE (Val Brown @ Mar 7 2009, 02:29 PM) Right click -> Visible Items -> Frame.
  11. QUOTE (crelf @ Feb 20 2009, 12:25 PM) OK - now they're getting ridiculous - LA to Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne for $US675. Don't live in LA? Click here for specials from other airports.
  12. I *think* I know what you're asking, but can you please upload a little example of what you're acheived? I'm not asking for you to upload you app - just an example of the things that are pertinent to the question.

    help!

    QUOTE (student11 @ Mar 7 2009, 12:45 AM) Burn!
  14. QUOTE (neBulus @ Mar 6 2009, 02:12 PM) Me either. Although this might skew the results, can you log the available memory while you're doing this? (assuming there are no issues with the logging code )
  15. QUOTE (neBulus @ Mar 6 2009, 02:12 PM) A leak is a leak, and if we loose 1kb every time we open/close then that needs to be fixed.
  16. QUOTE (neBulus @ Mar 6 2009, 11:51 AM) Can someone from NI confirm or deny this memory leak? Ben - have you reported it to NI?
  17. I think a null wire is a great idea.
  18. QUOTE (dblk22vball @ Mar 5 2009, 10:36 AM) Can't you make them update more often than that? Or you caould have them read the table directly from the network.
  19. QUOTE (jgcode @ Mar 4 2009, 12:08 AM) AFAIK, "Instrumentation 2.0" is simply the test-centric description of http://www.viengineering.com/vista_solutions/configMgmt/default_eim.aspx' rel='nofollow' target="_blank">Engineering Information Management (EIM).
  20. QUOTE (Darren @ Mar 4 2009, 11:23 AM) More importantly, do you pronounce them "zees" or "zeds"?
  21. QUOTE (rkesmodel @ Mar 4 2009, 12:34 PM) Something like Dell's http://www.ideastorm.com/' rel='nofollow' target="_blank">Ideastorm? If that's something you'd like, definately let NI know! :ninja:
  22. QUOTE (Cat @ Mar 4 2009, 06:54 AM) Ha! I actually LOLed My wife has long since given up trying to explain what I am QUOTE (neBulus @ Mar 4 2009, 08:57 AM) So like most stories here on LAVA they end with a carrige return and Line-feed with a little "e' thown in to allow access to the imaginary. *sniff* that's, that's beautiful Ben! *sniff*
  23. QUOTE (Daklu @ Mar 3 2009, 04:55 PM) It's the "[4] error out" that's the key - that was the window title of your fourth probe, and it was probing an error wire. I'd say that there was something that crapped itself in there that required LabVIEw to reset it.
  24. QUOTE (Daklu @ Mar 3 2009, 04:06 PM) Did you have a probe on an error cluster? We've got everything you need - satisfaction gaurenteed.
