  1. QUOTE (Aristos Queue @ Feb 23 2009, 04:33 PM) OOPs - you're right - sorry, I meant to mention that. I'll update the list.
  2. Quick clarification before we get into this too deeply: LV-OOP = native by-val OOP built into LabVIEW 8.2 and above GOOP = Endevo by-ref OOP implementation dqGOOP = DataAct by-ref OOP implementation based on queues OpenGOOP = OpenG by-ref OOP implementation based on object repository ClassicOOP = (VISTA Class Generator) by-ref OOP implemenation based on object repository locked with semaphores (now defunct) We now return you to your regularly-scheduled programme.
  3. QUOTE (MikaelH @ Feb 22 2009, 10:35 PM) Now you're talkin'! I might have a quick look into that today...
  4. See here.
  5. QUOTE (neBulus @ Feb 21 2009, 10:11 AM) True, but thankfully I'm not that desperate
  6. QUOTE (mic_k86 @ Feb 22 2009, 11:09 AM) Yep - replace it with your own icon (*.ico) file when you build it (the *.ico file needs to be part of your project for it to show up in the list): http://lavag.org/old_files/monthly_02_2009/post-181-1235322253.png' target="_blank">
  7. QUOTE (neBulus @ Feb 20 2009, 04:17 PM) You think tables are really pictures?
  8. QUOTE (BobHamburger @ Feb 20 2009, 02:21 PM) I've implemented it just as you described and it looks great - thanks Bob!
  9. I can't seem to find a way to make the text in a table's column headers go vertical - does anyone know who to do this (I'm not sure it's even possible)? I'd be happy to switch to a similar control if that capability exists somewhere else...
  10. In the US? If you're looking for a break away for a while, QANTAS has got a pretty bloody good special for vacations on the Great Barrier Reef at the moment. Check them out here. Trust me - as someone who flys across the Pacific Ocean fairly regularily, this is a good deal. If you're not sure what to expect down under, watch this: *I'm in no way affliated with the travel commission, but maybe I should be - I might get a free  or two next time I'm downunder. **I actually got a little choked-up when I watch the video - it really is like that down there!
  11. QUOTE (Devu @ Feb 18 2009, 08:19 PM) I don't think there's anywhere you can download the content without buying it again.
  12. QUOTE (gleichman @ Feb 18 2009, 06:06 PM) Thanks for the advanced warning - I'll be sure to does up on caffine this morning
  13. QUOTE (Tom Bress @ Feb 18 2009, 03:51 PM) You drink single malts as well?!?! Wow - you definately need to http://forums.lavag.org/Senior-Systems-Engineer-Test-Software-and-Integration-Group-t9931.html' target="_blank">check this out
  14. QUOTE (Tom Bress @ Feb 18 2009, 03:15 PM) Wow! That's *fantastic* - well done mate! I can imagine that you're going to feel a little empty for a while. Try to fill that void with sleep and LabVIEW
  15. Are you a nanapuss? Again, sorry for using your bandwidth for less-than-productive means, but this cracks me up for some reason
  16. QUOTE (wishfulthings @ Feb 12 2009, 06:18 AM) That's not a stupid question at all (I actually did the same thing yesterday), but you may not like the answer: there is a way to get the block diagram property node, but it's a private method - http://forums.lavag.org/VI-Scripting-Readme-First-t1207.html' target="_blank">read here for more information on how to get access to private methods.
  17. QUOTE (rolfk @ Feb 16 2009, 01:47 PM) Oh - Okay. I thought that, from the tone of your message, you were speaking with some authority - my mistake. QUOTE (rolfk @ Feb 16 2009, 01:47 PM) It does not make sense either so why should NI add such a thing? This is why: QUOTE (LV_FPGA_SE @ Feb 16 2009, 01:48 PM) I have a small VI that I use to store all of the passwords that I have and call the VI to add all the passwords to the cache. This VI could be called automatically from the link you use to start the LV environment. I'm not saying that access to the password cache should be exposed - I'm just trying to find out if it is.
  18. QUOTE (rolfk @ Feb 16 2009, 10:39 AM) Are you sure that's the only way to get passwords into the cache? We're talking about the development environment here, not our code, so maybe there's another way to do it - maybe have LabVIEW load up with a few commonly-used passwords? I have no idea, and, of course, only pose these questions in the hopes of making LabVIEW better.
  19. QUOTE (Jim Kring @ Feb 13 2009, 07:51 PM) Confirmed (v8.6).
  20. QUOTE (Pollux @ Feb 13 2009, 12:12 PM) You're not serious, right? If you are: no - it's an animatronic figure.
  21. I'm not sure why, but I thought this was hillarious
  22. All the code in my userlib is under SCC, but through VIPM, so it's outside any of the traditional local SCC control. I agree that I should be able to exlcude userlib from SCC, although I don't use the native project-based SCC, so I don't have that issue.
  23. QUOTE (crelf @ Feb 1 2008, 09:28 AM) Bump. I'd still love to see this feature, if at all possible.
  24. QUOTE (pallen @ Feb 9 2009, 10:43 AM) I tried to come up with an intelligent list of the benefits of doing it this way, but it all came down to, well, your DAQmx settings are saved at the project level instead of the system level. The channel and task settings that would normally be in your system mce file are instead in your lvproj file - a much better idea IMHO.
  25. QUOTE (bmoyer @ Feb 9 2009, 10:13 AM) That depends on whether you value the tool or not. We work in regulated industries, and a price tag like that sure wouldn't deter us from using it. QUOTE (bmoyer @ Feb 9 2009, 10:13 AM) Is it included with the Professional version (my guess would be probably not)? I don't think so, although I think NI's offering it bundled with the desktop execution trace toolkit and VI Analyzer for a slightly higher price point.
