For Drivers, it's not working as you say!

Hi ALL! Now my develop environment is LabVIEW 6i and it's corresponding driver. Now I got LabVIEW 7.1. I want to install it in my Windows2000. But system prompt to me that I should unistall my older driver before new higher version driver. But all of my project finished in LabVIEW 6i, and the test environment of our product Line is also LabVIEW 6i. If I upgrade the driver, the Load of maintenance of my projects is huge. How can I install my LabVIEW 7.1 and it's driver while no affecting my LabVIEW 6i System (LabVIEW 6i and it's driver)? Forgive my poor English! Thanks very much!

When I select the item from the ring constant, and LabVIEW puts it's value to New VI Object VI, then the vi which path connected to Owner path would create a new VI object depend on what I selected in the ring. So I want to know what defines the item's vale. For example , When I select "Waveform Chart" from the ring, LabVIEW should put it's value----21010 to New VI Object VI, what decide the Waveform Chart's counterpart value? the control's Class ID? or type Description? or others?
