  1. If the application is basically open or closed eyes in a general field of view, I presume that the majority of weary drivers occurs at night time. Thus you will need also need lighting. A 1,000,000 candlepower spot would work nicely :blink:

    Taking that route, why not make it simpler- find a wavelength that is not visible but eye safe, IR as a possibility. The chosen wavelength would need to also reflect nicely off/within the eye. This should improve your signal/noise ratio. Then it is basically down to finding the two bright reflecting areas and testing if they disappear (eyes closed). Don't even need a camera for that, photodiodes would suffice.

    Too bad our eyes don't reflect as well as animals, ever shine a flashlight into a cat or dog or horses eyes at night? You can see them from many 100's of feet away. :thumbup:

    My wife, as a major cat hater, heard me talk about reading this and she approved buying the kit in August for my 9 year old son. Easiest toy (dual meaning intended) acquisition approval in a long time and I didn't even have to negotiate jewelry or spa days. Son and I are excited. Thanks guys :worship:

    Earler today I made my graph and some other associated indicators into a typedef control since I use the group in 3 different areas. No delays were experienced when editiing the graph attributes in the control editor.

    I noticed the document refers to 7.1.1 and was observed almost a year ago. Must have got overlooked in time for v8 release.

  5. Strangely the effect is much less pronounced when the subject drinks light beer...

    The "walking black hole" is only observed by the drinker after it reaches "extinction". The subject has no recollection of the events past the event horizon that occurs on extinction. Observer from outside can only see a collapsed inert mass.

    Light beer, excellent inclusion into the discussion. :laugh:

    Be careful not to enter the drinker's event horizon, nasty things are said to be expelled within it with 97.7% certanty.

  6. Beer's Law is already taken! However it is about absorption of light , not beer.

    So if beer absorbs light and we absorb the beer, then we absorb light? Very illuminating. So I must test this, to see if can expel the beer and it's absorbed light at night without having to turn on the lights. This will also remind me to put the seat back down when I see the loo's contents glowing.

    I hope I have not offended anyone with some of my posts where I do spoonerisms to keep people on their toes (i.e. Puplicate Dost), sometimes it may come across as a play on dyslexia. My nephew is dsylexic, he was diagnosed about 8 years ago and with encouragement, extra assistance in school, and hard work he has become one of the brightest in his 11th grade class. I had fun helping him learn how to reduce resistor networks and calculate all the currents and voltages in the circuits. Once he got a hold of the basic premise, he was a machine.

    Back to topic, does (Kring's Law * Godwin's Law) = 1? since the topic of the post is (Godwin's Law)^-1.

  8. I have just had a related issue last week in v8.0.1, vi has 4 tabs that are mostly unpopulated. One tab has a waveform graph on it. No code on the BD yet, just prototyping the GUI right now.

    When editing the line style and colors of the graph legends (7 of them) editing gets slower and slower- by the time I am on legend 5 I have to wait 10 seconds for my mouse clicks to register. CPU usage is very high via task manager, 60-100%. When I save the vi (just after editing the graph) I thought LV was crashing (gave it 2 minutes), task manager was pegged at 100% CPU and showed LV as not responding.

    After reading your post I re-edited and saved and walked away. Came back about 10 minutes later and it appears that it saved and LV was alive. Any subsequent edits to anything other than the graph go fine and saves OK.

    I have tried to replicate this on a blank vi with tabs and no tabs, it works properly and saves fast. Thus at this point I cannot determine what is 'unique' with my vi. At this point it is really quite simple with a handful of controls, indicators, and a custom control, 100K FP, 35K BD, 70K on disk. Hope this is not a harbinger of things to come with my first 8.0 project :unsure: .

    Let us know if you find out anything on this, I will do the same.

    I saw that program with Triads, Canadian diplomats 2 times.

    No wonder last week I saw at news a guy walking with his dog who saw a person in a cement block.

    The Canadian police said they will need couple days to take that person out.

    TIVO'd the TV program or bidirectional time at work?

    Guess the police have to get the concrete facts on the case.
