I think François was referring to The Emperor of the dark side from Star Wars:

Indeed, I tried to find an "emperor" emoticon, but could only find Darth Vader...

Sorry Ben for the confusion. I was attempting humor with a second degree between NI & LAVA but it wasn't meant to be a rebuke. (There wouldn't be light without darkness) ;)
