Tim_S
What is equivalent to"C/C++ Pointers" in Labview programming? There is not an equivalent. The closest thing is data value references, which creates what operates like a pointer, however LabVIEW operates on a different concept than C/C++ does as it is data driven. The DVR didn't exist for eight full versions of LabVIEW over 20+ years, so if you're looking to use them you should reconsider how your algorithm is implemented. Tim Quote Link to comment
Djed
Also, LabVIEW manages memory for you, so you (typically) don't have to worry about passing everything by pointer or using pointers to allocate, etc. Quote Link to comment
ShaunR
It's a bit like asking "what's a LabView Wire" equivalent in C/C++ Edited September 7, 2010 by ShaunR Quote Link to comment
Daklu
It's a bit like asking "what's a LabView Wire" equivalent in C/C++ True, but unless the person has programmed in LV for a while and understands dataflow programming that will appear to be a perfectly valid question. Or worse, they will think the answer to your question is "variables." Quote Link to comment
