Sarah83
Hi! If I like to scroll an object on the front panel e.g a button, and I will scroll it for only a millimeter, every time the object is scrolling with the "fence grid" from the blank front panel. Can I switch-off this function somehow? Quote Link to comment
didierj
Do you mean this from the Tools->Options: Disable "Enable panel grid alignment" and you have a front panel like "LV prior 7.0" Didier Quote Link to comment

On a related note, use "a" to toggle wire autorouting on the diagram. Quote Link to comment

Mike Ashe
Has anyone else noticed that if you have several items spaced out just the way you want them, then you select them all and hit shift-up|down|left|right that as they move they INDIVIDUALLY snap to the gird, ruining your spacing? Most annoying. Quote Link to comment

Mike Ashe
Yes, you can group, but that is a hassle if you are doing a lot of controls and moving stuff hither and yon while trying to lay out a new interface. Hmm, maybe I should submit a bug report. Quote Link to comment

It's easier to align things relative to other controls rather than the grid. The grid is never in the right place that I want it to be. Most of the time, what looks natural to the eye does not conform to the grid. I realize this was a "most requested feature" from NI customers... I think I requested it as well . But in practice, no good. Quote Link to comment

Don't get me wrong, I am very glad NI implemented it and don't want to seem ungrateful. I just wish it had a few things "polished up" a bit. Perhaps in LV 8? Quote Link to comment
