Antoine Chalons
Hi all, I've posted an idea on the NI Idea Exchange to suggest extending LabVIEW Ui capabilities towards google's Material Design If you think it makes sens, here's the idea : http://forums.ni.com/t5/LabVIEW-Idea-Exchange/LabVIEW-UI-capabilities-should-evolve-towards-Google-s-Material/idi-p/3607980 Quote Link to comment
infinitenothing
I thought it was a bit vague in terms of what you want. You want another UI theme in addition to classic, modern, and silver, or something that's more evolutionary like NextGen? Quote Link to comment
Antoine Chalons
Not exactly, as I understand it, Material Design is not just a theme it's also about having graphical objects moving around and using the z-order to separate things. As far as I know we can't play with z-order of graphical object on a front panel at runtime, that in itself seems a bit limiting. Edited April 13, 2017 by Antoine Chalons Quote Link to comment
infinitenothing
Is there anything preventing you from moving the graphical objects around? There's some property nodes for that. As for the z-order, you can vote for that here: https://forums.ni.com/t5/LabVIEW-Idea-Exchange/Programmatic-Manipulation-of-Object-Layer-z-order/idi-p/1262886 Quote Link to comment
Antoine Chalons
I did vote for this quite some time ago Quote Link to comment
