moephunk
Hey everyone, I've developed an application that my company will sell and I was wondering if there is a way to incorporate a unique serial number into each individual application, so that whenever a customer buys the software we have to provide them with a serial number in order for them to be able to install it. I use LabView 8.2. Thanks! Quote Link to comment
lraynal
Hi, What you can do is: When the customer starts the software, if the password is wrong, the software ask to contact you and to give you the serial number of the computer (accessible via the registry). You create then a password regarding the serial number, and send it to the customer. Then, when the software starts again, the customer enters the password, and the software check it regarding the serial number... Do you follow me? Quote Link to comment
Bryan
So, you mean creating a dialog or something that will run only the first time the application is run that prompts the user for the password (software key) provided by moephunk or his company? Quote Link to comment
