BrokenArrow
Has anyone had issues with upgrading to 8.5.1? The install went smooth for me, although it took half a day to do two computers (hosts and RT's). The only issue I have had is MAX thinks I have a different version of NI-DAQ on the RT vs. Host, so I can't make new DAQmx Tasks! -Richard Quote Link to comment
orko
QUOTE (BrokenArrow @ Apr 16 2008, 11:27 AM) Has anyone had issues with upgrading to 8.5.1? Sorry I can't help you out, just got the SSP today (brown box again). Usually I wait a week or two for issues like these to pop up... Quote Link to comment
rpursley
My installation went fine. It did take all day. I have opened and run 4 or 5 different projects and have not had any problems as of yet. Quote Link to comment
Jim Kring
I upgraded early last week and haven't have any problems. I've used it in several projects and found that it fixed a build issue we were having in one of them (related to locked libraries). Quote Link to comment

I downloaded it -- had to wait just a bit for the NI activation process to come online -- but I've had no problems at all with 8.5.1. Quote Link to comment
BrokenArrow
QUOTE (BrokenArrow @ Apr 16 2008, 02:27 PM) ....MAX thinks I have a different version of NI-DAQ on the RT vs. Host..... This ended up being a known issue (known to NI at least) with the NI-DAQmx driver that ships with 8.5.1. If you use a DAQmx in a RT chassis, you should download NI-DAQmx 8.7.1f3 from NI. Or (I guess) un-select the install of NI-DAQmx when you upgrade, thus leaving your NI-DAQmx as-is. -Richard Quote Link to comment
Omar Mussa
I just figured out that 8.5.1 does not really exist -- it is only in your minds. Check the LabVIEW.exe version number yourself. Quote Link to comment

That's odd. v8.5.0.4002 is the version for my LabVIEW 8.5 exe...and I haven't installed the 8.5.1 upgrade yet. http://lavag.org/old_files/monthly_04_2008/post-3266-1208594411.png' target="_blank"> Quote Link to comment
Aristos Queue
Check your upgrade notes. You'll note that there's all sorts of comments about the internal version number having not been bumped. You should also be aware of this. Quote Link to comment
