Glad to hear it John - make yourself at home

I'm pretty sure you can use your credit card through paypal to make a payment without it actually being a PayPal thingy - that's how I did it for the LAVA/OpenG NI-Week BBQ... Check out the PayPal site for details.

I totally agree, and although I don't know the numbers, I'd suggest that LAVA is probably in the red at the moment. Every buck counts, so even those who aren't up for a Premium Membership, you can always donate whatever you can afford to keep LAVA up and running. I don't think it should be up to Mike asking for support, I think it should be a proactive thing: if you feel like you're getting something out of LAVA, why not thrown in a few bucks to help keep it alive?

Which was demonstrated by the Spaceballs: Barf: "They've gone to plaid!"

I'm not convinced, but I'll leave it to the pros to point out why...

It's over here and here.

Are you looking to change that? It's actually my life ambition to ................................... RULE THE LabVIEW WORLD!

I think you're pretty safe as I only read posts whose topics or posters interest me, so the chances of me reading this one is relatively low.

I'm staying right away from that one... alfa's always good fun - every few months he reminds us not to take ourselves (or him) too seriously
-
So you're waiting until you get a free Premium Membership before you'll pay for a Premium Membership?
-
Ooooo - I could so go a Tooheys Old.
-
Let me remedy that - Thanks guys! Now all we need is a Premium Membership drive - it's my personal crusade to get the top 10 to all become Preimum Members C'mon guys - you know you wanna!
-
Bring it on!

Which is parallel to the famous quote: "From metrics comes knowledge, from knowledge comes understanding, from understanding comes enlightenment."

Mmmmmmmmm fish..... Have you tried a "SendDeviceExplicit" and/or "DNLAB32" google?

The array that you've got on your front panel hasn't got anything in it, so it's a void. ONce you put another front panel control (like the numeric you're taking about) in there, then it will adapt to that type. EDIT: Quick work Ton - you beat me to it!

Well, I don't know what to say. I must admit that I'm in two minds about this award - I'm deeply humbled and honoured to be selected as the first TALM, but I'm also a little embarrassed. Although I've submitted a lot of posts, I'm not sure my SNR is particularily high My aim is to continue to build the LAVA community - it's a great place to share ideas, get your questions answered, and occasionally hang out with like-minded (and not-so-like-minded) people. I'm excited about the initiatives that Mike has put in place, especially the LAVA Code Repository where you can't just shove any old code - it has to meet strict coding requirements; and the LAVA Knowledge Base where anyone can write an independant article to share with the world. The greatest thing of all is that LAVA is independant - a true community run by users. I appreciate everyone's input, including some of the greatest LabVIEW minds in the world, and not forgetting the NI R&D guys that take the time to stop by - you're an invaluable resource! It's only through the high quality submissions by users will it grow. A lot of work has been done in the past year on getting the framework into place, and there are already some fantastic independant resources in place, but it's a dynamic community, so please help it grow and stay relevant. Another great way to ensure that LAVA continues to provide us with the very best service is to have a look at a Premium Membership - as you know, the background of keeping our community alive costs money, and a Premium Membership not only helps it thrive, it also offers some pretty decent benefits to the members. I'm very proud to be named a TALM - thank you all for your kind words! Christopher G. Relf aka: crelf

Welcome! Hopefully not simultaneously!

Parallel lines don't connect, but lines ("wormholes") perpendicular to them provide the links.

That's a LAVA username, not an email address. That said, contacting a LAVA member directly through their email address without them intviting you to is very bad form, especially if it's something to do with a thread that already exists like this one (you can upload a large file and attach it to the thread). If you must contact a member privtely, us the PM button under their name/details.
