  1. I use IE and have no problems with spyware or viruses, so whilst your observations are interesting, I don't think that's enough data to be compelling.
  2. Your UNIcode -> ASCII doesn't check that the first character is a \00 (if it is, then it's part of an extended character set and hence non-ASCII).
  3. That algorithm is much faster than the original one - thanks! (I always forget about that bloody interleve thing!) I've updated the submission
  4. WOW! Can I please get the pattern for that one?
  5. Good catch! I've updated it.
  6. Awesome - well done mate!
  7. Firefox is better than IE, IE is better than Firefox - I don't care - I'll just use whichever one lets me browse more pages. It's a tool people.
  8. Can you see this page?
  9. You don't need to be excited, just aware
  10. In summary, sequences should only be used to force dataflow (not sequencing, but dataflow).
  11. Always! Especially in the spingtime...
  12. Mel Brooks playing Hitler in "To Be or Not To Be": "All I want is peace! A little piece of Poland, a little piece of France, a little piece of Hungary and Austria, perchance?"
  13. But how would you like it if Hitler killed you?
  14. Your easiest option by far is not to do it in LabVIEW at all - install a server OS on the PC your want to accept incoming connections, dial into it as normal and then use remote desktop. Personally, I'd leave LabVIEW out of it.

  17. Can you please upload an example of what you've already tried so we can make suggestions?
  18. Do you want to know how to create PID VIs, suggestions on integrating it into a toolkit, or how to develop open source using LabVIEW?
  19. We should, of course, get Brian's blessing, but it is pretty much public domain now, so it'd be a great Knowledge Base article.
  20. No worries - if you've any questions, please feel free to ask.
  21. Here's a much simplified version of what you're trying to do: Download File:post-181-1161891824.vi
  22. I'm workin' on it In fact, this post gets me one step closer... :ninja:
  23. Add me to that list. As far as I remember, LLBs were a great way to save VIs with filenames longer than the old 8.2 FAT16 limitation. Sure, they now also offer some compression too, but I think that there's not real point to using them anymore. If you want to group files together, then use something more accepted: put 'em in a zip. Hey - now there's an idea: LabVIEW being able to open VIs in zip files!
  24. Well done!
