It sounds like the Secure Desktop app is preventing file access. Perhaps you can look at your secure desktop settings to se if You can allow LabVIEW access to the required files.
-
On a side note, can you do an image capture from your TiVo? Just curious.

Remember the Hayes modem or the Altair 8800?
An interesting read for the weekend...

Well, it happened again. Check this out. There's a broken wire on the diagram but the arrow's intact.
Running the VI crashes LabVIEW.

Shift-Enter works for string constants but not for free text labels which is where I would like to see it. I suppose I could comment my code with string constants but that seems so... wrong.Ah, yes. They got merged in my mind as one and the same... so you're right I guess there's no solution there.

I also reported it to NI, but they don't seem to consider it a bug. It's not fair, but I'm not sure I agree. An attempt to access a VI not in memory seems to me should fail out with an error, not a crash to the desktop.Whoever at NI told you it's not a bug was probably smokin' the good stuff . I can reproduce it even with a blank new VI with a while loop and not using the "Dynamically Register for Events.vi"

I agree with all of your comments. I can help with #2. You should read the tips and tricks wiki page.

So, shift+enter works.

It works for me. Make sure you have HTML "on" in the Post options at the bottom. Try with auto line break mode too.
Edit: make sure you are using the embed code that Youtube provides.

You cannot embed it because the Wiki does not allow embedding of scripts. I can look into allowing this. One issue however with video in general is that some people cannot view it at their workplace because of firewall issues. This makes the Wiki less useful. Like I said, I will look into this and let you know. I think there may be a plugin to allow this.

This is awesome. Good work guys. I love to see user sponsored rather than NI sponsored meetings. I would also suggest having food like pizza or something. Talk of LabVIEW makes me hungry.
