  3. I can confirm what Dannyt is seeing. The + function isn't behaving as an AND. Also trying to use a minus (-) to exclude words behaves in the opposite way and includes posts with the word you are trying to exclude.
  4. Using Firefox 3.0.11 on Windows XP, "View New Content" gives me the list of threads and clicking on one takes me to the very last post in that thread, rather than the first post I haven't read.
  5. It might be an idea to include the maximum avatar dimensions on the change avatar page, so that those of us who like to be in control of the re-sizing process know what the target size is.
  6. To continue the calculator thread hijack, Sadly I'm no-longer in possession of functioning HP calculator as my 11C has died, but I do use an emulation of a 15C that I got from The Museum of HP Calculators
  7. I suggest you check the settings of your Linux taskbar - on Windows I have the taskbar property "Keep the taskbar on top of other windows" set, so your trick of expanding the window bounds wouldn't put the front panel in front of the taskbar on my machine.
  8. I wonder how much NI's initiative is prompted by the WEEE Directive here in Europe, which makes manufacturers responsible for end-of-life disposal of electronic waste.
  9. QUOTE (Eugen Graf @ Sep 8 2008, 11:51 AM) I think you're going to find it difficult to compile a definitive list because there are different educational structures, even within the same country. If it helps here's what happened to me: in the UK from 1969 onwards:- Primary school: 2 years, aged 5 - 6 Infants school: 4 years, aged 7 - 11 Secondary school: 5 years, aged 11 - 16, 'O' level and CSE exams (Now replaced by GCSEs) 6th Form college: 2 years, aged 16 - 18, 'A' level exams University: 3 years, aged 18 - 21, Bachelor of Science Beyond what I did, were Masters and Doctorate (Phd)
  10. QUOTE (jbrohan @ Aug 19 2008, 02:16 AM) I think I could put you in touch with http://forum.419eater.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=139274' rel='nofollow' target="_blank">someone who could help.

  12. QUOTE (alfa @ Jul 24 2008, 07:58 AM) Sounds like a cue for the http://www.albinoblacksheep.com/flash/llama' rel='nofollow' target="_blank">llama song
  13. QUOTE (zhpipo16 @ Jun 12 2008, 06:22 PM) As I and others have already said, there isn't enough information in your original post to be able to solve your problem. Good luck. Kevin
  14. QUOTE (zhpipo16 @ Jun 12 2008, 04:10 PM) Yes I understand that the plot you get isn't what you were expecting, but it would help if we could see a screen grab of the plot you get, and also to see the string data returned from the instrument, because without seeing the scale of your measurements (i.e. how many amps you are reading) it's hard to tell what is happening.
  15. QUOTE (zhpipo16 @ Jun 11 2008, 09:59 PM) Sorry zhipppo16, but you're not giving us enough information - your original attatchments are missing too much. You need to re-read the replies and get the answers we've asked for, if you want help. Also putting comments on the block diagram explaining the reason for each of the commmands you've sent to the instrument would be a good idea.
  16. QUOTE (zhpipo16 @ Jun 10 2008, 11:18 PM) I'll start by repeating my request that you post a tidied version of the block diagram, then I have more questions. What frequency and amplitude is your input signal, and what sample rate are you measuring at? (I'm hoping you know about the Nyquist frequency). I'm looking for you to reply with numeric values rather than equations.
  17. QUOTE (zhpipo16 @ Jun 9 2008, 12:30 AM) I don't have an answer, but I do have a request and a question:- My request is that you tidy up the block diagram so that you have got all the wires going from left to right and not going backwards. You also need to make sure your wires don't disappear under the sides of the sequence structure. I request this so that we can understand your block diagram. My question is... do you have a drawing of how you have the instrument connected to the resistor and diode, and what voltage sine wave you are applying? I ask this because the Keithly 6487 is an ammeter for measuring current, yet you seem to be trying to measure voltage with it, so I think I must be not understanding how you have it connected.
  18. QUOTE (Michael_Aivaliotis @ May 29 2008, 01:24 AM) Do you need a http://www.photographertoronto.com/' rel='nofollow' target="_blank">photographer?
  19. QUOTE(BrokenArrow @ Jan 8 2008, 02:05 PM) You can include me among your download count, but as I don't have 8.5 I'm not able to give you any timings! Kevin
  20. QUOTE(alfa @ Dec 6 2007, 09:47 AM) Perhaps there aren't any Secrets to find?
