crelf
Let me start by saying that I know this shouldn't irk me, but it does. Someone left a bad reivew of my book over on amazon.com. Normally, it wouldn't worry me, as from reading the review it's obvious that the reviewer wasn't the intended target, but what gets me is that it's the only review there If you've read my book (and you liked it ), or even if you've leafed through it, I'd really appreciate it if you wrote a supportive review and/or a comment on the negative review that's already there. ...and let me end by saying that I know this shouldn't irk me, but it does. SteveChandler
I have not read your book but I can totally understand your frustration. The sole review for a book on image acquisition says it is not a good book for learning labview? I read a review on the labview style book complaining that it focused too much on.... style and not enough on the basics. I take it as a positive about your book that you apparently didn't waste chapters explaining the things a labview programer should already know before buying a book on a specialized application area. I would write something there but I can't seem to find out how to post a review from my phone and won't have access to my laptop until tomorrow. Quote Link to comment
Jordan Kuehn
I believe you can comment on the review to clarify some of the focus of the book. Here is a generic article that might be a little useful. 1 Quote Link to comment
Roderic
I had a quick look at your book, and it seems to me that it is a good overview of image processing but some chapters seems to be a bit short. I fully understand your frustration. Quote Link to comment
Daklu
I dunno Chris... I think you ought to sleep on it a bit. After all, it's only been 4.5 years since the review was posted. We wouldn't want you to be too reactionary... (Haven't read the book, else I would happily review it.) Quote Link to comment
Popular Post Yair
This is the best book I've had the pleasure to not read. The cover is definitely quite reddish. Is that a reasonable review? Also, for the other review, all you need to do is use MAD magazine's approach to advertising and read it like this: I bought this book when I started doing image processing in LabVIEW ... The author spent a lot of time explaining things you can do with LabVIEW ... enough detail for someone who has experience with LabVIEW ... explain things clearly for someone (like me) who is just learning. I learned a lot ... 3 Quote Link to comment

BobHamburger
What ever happened to the revision/update to the book that you and Mike were working on? Quote Link to comment
