State Diagram Editor dropped?

Recommended Posts

I noticed recently that the latest SSP release (august 2007) that came with LV 8.5 didn't cary the State Diagram Editor on the toolkit CD.

I have a feeling this has to do with the Statechart Module. I contacted to my local NI rep and he wasn't sure about the why of the removal.

Does anybody have an opinion of this silence kill of the SDE?

Check under you LV 8.5 add-ons. It appears to now be a freebie.

Unfortunately no bugs are getting fixed for the freebie. :(

But where do I get an installer? And where should I look in the palette? because the LV installer isn't offering this.

A freebie? it's still for sale for €1000 ($ 1460)

Strange when I move to the US I can buy it for $995 (€680)

This is actually quite standard for NI.. Where the whole world converts $1.50 to approx. €1.00, NI converts $1,05 to approx. €1.00..

It is really ridiculous when you think of it..

From my local NI rep, they adjust prices every quarter to reflect the exchange rate.

Also, there is a built-in adjustment (increase) to European prices to reflect the higher cost of doing business there.
