Alexis
Hi, I have been recently working on CD burning in labview (using nero's command line in this case), but in an attempt to streamline things one step further, I was wondering if anyone has ever used a Lightscribe CD burner for putting the artwork on a CD? I think this would be great for a low yield operation instead of using CD Labels or a specialized CD printer, but I am having issues finding something like a command line or activeX control for hooking into it. So has anyone done this, or even started to? Quote Link to comment

Hi Alexis When I have trouble getting my hands of a easy way to hook into an application, I use AutoIT (http://www.autoitscript.com/autoit3/downloads.php). This is a script language that can be compiles into an Executable. Then I run the exe-file from LabVIEW. The AutoIT scripts are very flexible when it comes to automate GUI tasks. I use it for automated tests of LabVIEW GUI applications. Some features: You could emulate mouse clicks and keyboard strokes. Read write data from/to files And also it's free!! A script could look like this: Run("notepad.exe") WinWaitActive("Untitled - Notepad") Send("This is some text.") WinClose("Untitled - Notepad") WinWaitActive("Notepad", "Do you want to save") Send("!n") I have also done my own LV-application that records the keyboard and mouse and generates an AutoIT script. Cheers, Mikael Quote Link to comment
LAVA 1.0 Content
I don't have a LightScribe drive, but I was curious so I did some searching and found the LightScribe web site. On the support page, there seems to be an SDK that is available for download. Have you looked at this yet? Quote Link to comment
